The radiator is an essential part of any car. Regardless of whether we are dealing with a passenger vehicle, truck or specialist, it will be mandatory for it to use properly functioning cooling system. The radiator acts as a heat exchanger that cools an active combustion engines. An element used for cooling is usually a liquid - here the choice is wide and depends on the climate in which the car is used. It is possible to use water but a better solution are speciality aqueous - usually based on ethylene glycol.
Depending on the design of the car a radiator is chosen in such way as to ensure safe operation under all conditions - to provide adequate coolant temperature. Not only the Overheating is dangerous for our engine - to prevent excessive cooling, the cooling system is equipped with thermostat. Proper functioning is intended to close the flow of cooling fluid when its temperature falls to 85 C.
It is worth remembering that the cooling system is extremely vulnerable to damage - due to its location and the complex structure it is exposed to a fault. Do not underestimate the reduced capacity of the system. Especially in the winter its malfunction may hinder the operation of a vehicle. Even seemingly harmless cullet or shock can lead to failure, so it is important to regularly check its technical condition in a specialist service!
